Ciliwung Lama Sluice Gate Opened Up to 210 Centimeters

Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Department opens Ciliwung Lama Sluice Gate by 210 centimeters at 5:45 PM today. This condition is potential to cause inundation on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya.

In order to minimize inundation on the roads and settlements, we have prepared two mobile pumps near Golden Truly

Jakarta SDA Department Head, Juaini Yusuf explained, his side needs to take this action because water level at Manggarai Sluice Gate reaches 900 centimeters.

"We do it with various considerations. I suggest residents who live near Ciliwung Lama River to be prepared," he conveyed, Wednesday (1/1).

Depok Sluice Gate is in Alert 1 Status

According to him, all SDA Deparment apparatuses, including Blue Troops are on standby to work optimally until inundation recedes.

"In order to minimize inundation on the roads and settlements, we have prepared two mobile pumps near Golden Truly," he added.

He hopes water flow from upstream can be reduced soon thus flood in Jakarta recedes quickly.

"This flood is not only happened in Jakarta. But importantly, we will work optimally to handle it," he asserted.

His side appreciates SDA Department personnel who have worked optimally on the field and cooperate well in overcoming inundation and flood.

"Thank you for all SDA Department personnel for your hard work. Keep the spirit and take care of your health," he conveyed.
